Senegal Parrot FAQs:
What type of personality do senegal parrots have?
Senegal parrots are far from the loudest of the parrots. While some can learn to talk, your parrot won’t get you into trouble with the neighbors. They are a sweet, loving parrot species. They’re perfect for intermediate bird owners.

Senegal parrots have a natural diet of grains, seeds, fruits and vegetables. Many of these nutrients can be given to your parrot through pellet foods; however, you can also keep your parrot’s diet as close to their natural diet as possible. Give your pet plenty of whole foods, including sunflowers, soybeans, celery, peas, mango, coconut chips, pecan pieces, and more! You shoul dalso provide your parrot with a cuttlebone for calcium.
What kind of housing does my senegal parrot need?
Senegal parrots are very active birds and as a result, they need a fairly large cage. At a minimum, they need a cage that is 4 ft x 3 ft x 3ft. However, the larger the cage the better! Just be sure to keep your cage away from drafty areas like windows, air vents and doorways — and provide your pet with plenty of toys and room to swing.
